Stress

Stresses can be categorised into three groups. Physical, Chemical and Emotional. It is our ability to react and adapt to these stresses that determines our level of health, as stresses build up in the body they have more and more effect on the body - often to levels that the body will start to deteriorate and/or change the way it functions in order to ensure short-term survival.

Although the chance of short-term survival is increased, if the stress is allowed to continue, the body then has to deal with a chronic stress - changing the way it works more significantly.

These compensations can take many forms - the most common ones are well known to us all: High Blood Pressure, many forms of Arthritis, Diabetes, even simple Back Aches, Neck Aches and Head Aches. The list goes on and on...

All of these conditions are the bodies way of telling you that the body body isn't handling the different stresses well.

Once you truly understand these facts, there are a number of questions that naturally follow:

  • What can be done to decrease the stresses on the body?
  • What can be done to help the body deal with any other unavoidable stresses?
  • Why not deal with the source of the real problem (stresses) instead of the symptoms when they arise (when it's too late)?
